What is your morning ritual to cultivate clarity and grace (self care must do’s)?
My morning ritual consists of getting up and and chanting the Adi Mantra to tune in to the divine flow of knowledge; to tap into the Golden chain of teachers that have come before and to use the sound current to align with peace, prosperity and protection.
I sit in the frequency and list a few things I am grateful for and what is going to go right in my day and offer thanks for the blessing to be on this Earth. (even if some days I don't feel like it!)
Most days I lather my body in almond oil as a self-care ritual and just recently I have added Gua Sha to my self-care routine which is an ancient technique in Chinese medicine to reduce fine lines, remove stagnation and aids in circulation to the face (thank you Taylor Eyewalker for sharing this). I use rose quartz for this technique and have quickly fallen in love with it. This is all followed by a cold shower to "wash off stagnation."
Lastly, I make a smoothie consisting of many superfoods to keep me charged throughout the day.
Who do you believe is your spirit animal and why?
My spirit animal feels like Jaguar, the mighty feline who does not seek approval or permission from the outside world, but rather courageously, and gracefully walks the path of nobility.
What is the true essence of “Chalice Grove” and where is it headed as you begin to grow how does Chalice Grove mirror you?
Chalice Grove has always been and continues to be a platform for healing and awakening and always mirrors the journey I am on; my malas have become so feminine these last two years which is a direct reflection of embracing the divine feminine. That being said, I have been going with the flow more than ever, so although I have visions of teaching/retreats/public speaking and travel, I do not set hard goals; I simply tap into what feels good now in this moment and the next step always appears.
Name one muse that continues to inspire you?
There are a few, but if I had to name one, I would say Guru Jagat
What is your daily ritual to stay connected and in the creative flow?
Quiet and/or stillness either through meditation, tea ceremony or walking. Whenever something isn't flowing, I either get quiet through ceremony or get outside, both tap into holy truth and expansion.
What makes you feel Graceful and Victorious?
I feel graceful during tea ceremony and victorious when I get the opportunity to teach/guide men and women back into the sacred.
Can you share what “Healing with the Archetypes” provides for Women?
Healing with Archetypes provides a reminder to one of the greatest lessons that has saved me time and time again; life is not literal, it is symbolic, and when our perception shifts from the mundane to the magical, we begin to see a world happening for us, not to us and liberate ourselves from victim consciousness.
What are your rituals in regards to the New Moon and Full Moon phases?
I love to sit in ceremony, be it five minutes or for three hours, in a group or by myself, to tap back into my sacred knowing; to reflect on the month and release, while also retrieving lost or missing parts of my soul. Lighting candles and calling my spirit back from anyone I gave my power to is one of my favourite ways to remain sovereign. La Luna Social YYC has been such a blessing to bring women together and create community.
What is your current Mantra, Prayer or Affirmation that you pull up for support? (when you feel lack, depleted or low)
My go to mantra for the last six months is, Thank God there is nothing wrong with me! In a society that breeds insecurity and doubt, where the collective conscious on some level believes in inherent sin, trusting that you are perfect just as you are, and offering compassion to yourself and others while also keeping firm boundaries is the most powerful thing we can do.
What are you really excited about for 2017 and what were you grateful for in 2016?
2016 was a huge year of building grit both personally and with entrepreneurship. I am so grateful I finally listened to the stirrings of my soul and stepped into the role of teacher. I had been designing malas and felt grateful for this path, but knew that there was more to do.
I am so excited for 2017 and for life right now. Being my own boss, taking my Kundalini teacher training, travelling, and stepping more into my power are just a few things to get excited over. I am claiming this year as my year for transformation and profound growth.
